Industry Benchmark Data
FISCAL provides documented, validated, and reliable Industry Benchmarks, updated annually, for use in peer comparisons. These benchmarks come from two primary sources: The RMA Annual Statement Studies™ and The Corporation Source Book (IRS Pub 1053).
RMA Annual Statement Studies™
RMA Annual Statement Studies™ is the only source of comparative data that comes directly from the financial statements of small and medium-size business customers of RMA’s member institutions. Founded in 1914, the Risk Management Association is a not-for-profit, member-driven professional association whose sole purpose is to advance the use of sound risk principles in the financial services industry.
IRS Statistics of Income
IRS Statistics of Income - The Corporation Source Book (IRS Pub 1053) presents balance sheet and income statement data by size of total assets. Statistical tables are available by industrial sectors, major groups within a sector, and minor industries within a major group. The Statistics of Income Division of IRS has been collecting and publishing data on corporate business operations and activity since 1916.
Custom Industry Benchmarks
FISCAL also allows the user to create Custom Industry Benchmarks within the program, using your data. Use a single statement, or consolidate statements, and save the results as Custom Industry Benchmarks for organizations whose demographics do not make them a good fit for comparison with standard data sets.
RMA Data Submission
FISCAL customers who are members of the Risk Management Association (RMA) may submit financial statement information about their clients using a utility within FISCAL. These data help the RMA provide a statistically significant body of information for use in preparing the Industry Benchmarks. Instructions for using the RMA Submission Utility are found here.
